One of the customers in the States gets lucky to receive early shipment for Nikon D5000 with 18-55 F/3.6-5.6 VR kit lens. The unboxing pictures is available at http://www.flickr.com/photos/kadath/3471615587/in/set-72157617186639099/
Based on my calculation, the Nikon D5000 with 18-55 F/3.6-5.6 VR kit lens should be around RM2600 if I am correct. However, I shall update my Photo Equipment Price List once I get the confirmed price from my regular supplier when it hits the shore.

It was about 11:45pm. I was relaxing while watching the TV. Suddenly a loud explosion as if an atom bomb just exploded miles away. I felt the amazing shockwave shook the ground and my dog jumped from her slumber and barked at random direction. It must be some explosion somewhere, most likely from some factory around.
A few more explosions followed after the first one. This is getting more serious. A few minutes later, sirens of ambulances and fire engines rushing can be heard and seen from my place.

New generation of DSLR with LiveView, HD Video is quickly capturing the heart of consumer, not only closing the gap between compact digital camera and DSLR camera; The interchangeable lens as a nature feature of SLR is also marching into videography territories were used to be a standalone sector, it is also taking more and more slices of video camera market.
New DSLR with built-in video features (known as Hybrid DSLR) in the current market is only the first generation Hybrid DSLR, with very limited video capability and leave lots of room for improvement, and great potential market segment for near future.

Some features was technically impossible in DSLR a few years back.

Day 3 was amazing with more bridal show and even more exciting body painting by Ivy Make Up & Beauty Academy.
The D&L Bridal Show by Blissful Bridal once again proved themselves another stunning show with more surprises.
The crowd wasn’t as many day 2, but still gathered lots of photograhers.
Congratulate to the Bripex organisers for such amazing event, hopefully next year will come back with even more exciting Bripex 2010!
At the mean time, please enjoy the photos from Day 3 of Bripex 2009

Day 2 was an amazing day for the bridal show in Bripex 2009, photographers gathered around the stage from far apart, and quickly seeing beginners jammed their way to the stage to get some up skirt close up shots while the more experienced one stayed behind with tele lens.
The D&L Bridal Show by Blissful Bridal is simply amazing, unique, outstanding, and eye popping.
It took me quite some time to sort out the Bripex day 2 pictures, 80 out of 1000 pictures were corrupted for some reason.
Stay tuned for more photos in Day 3, mean while, enjoy the Day 2 photos.

The rumour has been flying around about the new replacement for Nikon D60 for quite a while with leaked spy shots. However, it is now pretty much confirmed for real that the Nikon D5000 as the replacement model for D60.
The most noticeable enhancement is the new articulating LCD 2.7″, which is not only it is a major enhancement from D60 with 2.5″ LCD, it is also never introduced to any Nikon DSLR and will certainly make all SLR users drool. Unlike the competitor DSLR LCD with articulating LCD like the Sony α350/α300 which has only one and limited angle articulation point capable only tilting up or down with very limited angle; the new D5000 has two articulation axis, and capable of flipping the LCD with 180° to any desired angle, just like most high-end non-SLR digital camera.

The Bridal and Photography Exhibition Fair 2009 (Bripex) just ended yesterday, with horny happy photographers took home with rounds of satisfiying model photography session.
Overall, the exhibition is awesome, a successful event for the first attempt, but leaving rooms for improvements.
The album below is the first day of the event, with a simple opening ceremony speech, and a short dance and fashion show from 11pm to 1pm.
Stay tuned for even more exciting photos from Day 2 and Day 3 with presentations from various bridal houses!
