How many thermal mugs you got and it is free?
How many free thermal mugs you got and you actually appreciate?
Many of you own more than one of those thermal mugs but you never appreciate that you got it for free, and just take it for granted, like everyone else.
When you think about thermal mug, you think about freebies.
Thermal mugs are often given away from various companies as souvenir, you can expect to receive one of these when you attending Microsoft seminar, a free gift from the Scretch & Win scam, or freebies from the event girls in Sony roadshow you while you are busy shooting those Race Queens.
Imagine you just walked into your office pantry filling up your regular doze of caffeine, and one of your colleagues walked into the pentry is holding the same mug as yours. The only difference is only the colour and the logo printed on top. Perhaps his is Microsoft, and yours is Intel.
“Good morning, so, you got your mug from Microsoft Technet?”
“Yeah, and you got yours from Intel product launching?”

Nikon D300s is now officially the new best DX DSLR in the market. Nikon D300 was first introduced in March 2008, and exactly one and a half year later, Nikon decided to revise the best DX DSLR.
For professional photographers, the Nikon D300/D300s is no doubt the best in Nikon DSLR DX line. If you are considering D300 or D300s, most likely your questions are
What are the differences?
What remains the same?
What is the price?
Is it worth it?
I have done a summary for you in the table below, which are the important key issues between D300 and D300s

The new AF-S Nikkor 70-200mm f/2.8G ED VR II is expected to have the following specification compared with current model
| Mfg Year | 2009 | 2003 |
| Focal Length | 70-200mm | |
| Maximum Aperture | F/2.8 | |
| Filter size | 77 mm | |
| Stabilization system | VR II | VR |
| Weight | 1.540 kg | 1.470 kg |
| Length | 209 mm | 215 mm |
| Nano Coating | Yes | No |
| Auto Focus Speed | Faster | Fast |
| Minimum Focus Distance | 1.4 m | 1.5 m |

The highly anticipated Nikon D300s is expected to be announced on the Nikon website on 30 July 2009 and the coming Nikon Press Conference. As the name applies, Nikon D300s is expected to be a minor upgrade over Nikon D300.
It is expected to have the following features:
- New video recording. Frankly speaking, this is not something I am looking forward to have. Additional component = additional problem = additional cost.
- SD Card Supported. Not sure it is SD Card only, or SD/CF Combo, which ever that is; it is something I am definitely jolly about. CF Card is no longer popular as before, it is far more costly to produce, and also not widely available. SD Card is far more popular, even many notebooks have built-in support for SD Card reader. SD Card also twice cheaper and widely available. I don’t have to carry an external Multi-card Reader whenever I am on travel. I can afford to buy multiple 8GB of SD Cards instead of just one 4GB CF Card.

As I talked with my regular photography shop owner, they mentioned that there will be another round of price hike for lenses coming August 2009.
Please be reminded it is rumour, take it or leave it. If you have extra cash, it is no harm to invest in some good lenses now. If the rumour is false, you won’t lose a thing; if it is true, you gain. Either way, you won’t lose.
Bad economy, looks like people are still upgrading to full frame DSLR and Honda City is fully booked for two months in advance. Talk about weak Ringgit Malaysia and current economy situation, yeah right.

This is for you who are considering getting a DSLR, especially a Nikon DSLR.
This post is especially dedicated to one of my best buddies - Monica & Daniel. Monica called me yesterday, and expressed that she is interested in getting a DSLR, and asked for my opinion on the new Nikon D5000.
For a beginner considering a DSLR, the hottest most talked about Entry-Level DSLR is no doubt is the Nikon D5000. If you are planning to get a Nikon D5000, and most likely you will ask yourself these frequently asked questions:
What is the lowest street price in town?
What are the advantages and drawbacks?
What are the alternate models and price difference?
Which one suits me better?
Here you shall get a clearer picture as we discuss the must-know information about D5000 and D90, from a beginner point of view, and the Body only (without considering the kit lens or package).

DSLR has good demand and good resale value as I mentioned in “Should you buy a Compact Camera or DSLR?”
I bought my Nikon D70 with the 18-70mm F/3.5-5.6G ED kit lens on early 2004. I can’t remember exactly how much as I didn’t keep track of it, but I can safely recall that it was about RM4000 that time.
About a year later, I sold the kit lens for RM1100+ as high as a new unit in Malaysia over eBay to somebody in the States. Which is a great deal, I guess lenses are pretty expensive in the States.

To recap and summarize the GFish’s opinion in Why Home User Should Not Consider SLR: The post talked nothing but disadvantages of SLR Camera in terms of Convenience, Function, Lighting, Shooting angle, Maintenance, and Skill all the way to the extreme negative, none of the positive and Home User should never consider buying a DSLR. It is seriously sounds like some kind of professional DSLR stepped onto his toes and he decided to scream all loud to curse the DSLR.
The idea and the example given are flawed. The example scenario was based on Home User with zero knowledge of photography VS professional photographer with SLR and few bazooka lenses. The comparison is seriously flawed, too extremely far apart and unrealistic.
GFish’s argument is Home User should not consider DSLR, and I shall comment his statements line by line along with my opinion.
